To help you understand how we work, we thought we’d explain a few things:
Hourly Rate – Research, meetings, interviewing, formal brainstorming and idea conceptualisation, drafting, revisions, editing, and proofreading are charged as part of an hourly rate. The initial meeting on the project is not charged for.
Project Rate – We discuss your needs; consider and plan your requirements, and then offer a quote for the total cost price.
Ongoing Rate – We agree on a fixed number of hours over a period of time; a reduced hourly rate is then offered for those hours.
Copywriting – Written from the combination of information such as brochures, clients’ written work and research.
Revising - Re-writing drafts and/or copy provided to make them copy concise. Word count reduced if requested/required. Some copywriting involved.
Revisions – When we have all the information we need, we will produce a draft copy. You are required to read the copy and if changes are necessary, these will be made and the copy modified accordingly. You will then receive the second draft for approval and then the final copy in electronic form.
Editing – There are three types of editing that we provide, all of which will increase the effectiveness of your writing. You need to choose the type of editing you require:
- Structural editing — we look at the big picture to determine whether the language, content, structure and presentation are appropriate for your goals and the readers’ expectations.
- Copy editing — we improve and correct each sentence, looking at accuracy, consistency, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Style guidelines applied if supplied.
- Proofreading — we check your document for typographical errors and correct layout and formatting to ensure it’s ready to print.
